This quilt was started in a class with Phil Beaver learning to paint on fabric and doing soft edge appliqué. His technique of doing intuitive free form design was exciting. This flung open the door for me on creating quilts that were beyond anything I had done before. Learning to trust my own God given intuition and to not have a road map for the quilt was a more liberating experience than I would have thought.
